https://www.ejournal.itn.ac.id/IJCOMIT/article/view/16849

The economic success of higher education institutions is greatly supported by student entrepreneurship. Although there is great potential for student-led businesses at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), current digital platforms, such as the UII Student Mall, only function as product catalogs and do not sufficiently facilitate transactions, company administration, or user-centered interactions. To ensure usability and reliability through unmoderated usability testing, this study discusses how to improve the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of online marketplace programs that aim to support various types of student companies. The purpose of this study is to develop a mobile-based online marketplace UI/UX solution based on actual user needs and evaluate its usability through unmoderated testing techniques. This study uses questionnaires, interviews, and observations as user research methods. An interactive prototype is then used for unmoderated usability assessment. The results show that fragmented platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp are heavily relied upon by student entrepreneurs, resulting in complicated and inefficient transaction processes. To reduce cognitive load and improve usability, the proposed UI/UX design emphasizes information visibility, integrated user flows, and transaction transparency. Iterative design improvements and usability problem identification in natural usage situations were successfully supported by unmoderated testing. According to the study findings, campus-based marketplace applications for student entrepreneurship can significantly improve usability and reliability by combining unmoderated usability testing with data-driven UI/UX design processes
Habib Saputra ZBeni SurantoArrie Kurniawardhani

https://www.ejournal.itn.ac.id/IJCOMIT/article/view/17543

Proper placement of portable fire extinguishers (PFE) is critical in supporting the initial response to fire incidents. However, the PFE distribution in urban areas is often uneven. This research aims to analyze and visualize PFE data using the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) method to show the PFE distribution pattern in Greater Jakarta year 2023-2024. Previous related research mostly focused on general fire incident, on the other hand this research examines the PFE geographic distribution using an exploratory data approach. EDA is used to trace the PFE spatial distribution and to evaluate the effectiveness of their placement based on the potential fire incident in Greater Jakarta. The statistical analysis showed that the PFE average number per location was 7.11 units, with a variance value of 129.57 and a standard deviation of 11.38. The PFE highest distribution was 2,850 units in South Jakarta and the lowest was 6 units in the Seribu Islands. The data visualization was developed using Google Looker Studio in an interactive dashboard, which includes a PFE distribution map, a bar chart to compare PFE units between regions, a stacked bar chart to show PFEs conditions, and some detailed table based on district and subdistrict areas. This research shows that the integration of EDA and interactive spatial visualization can be used for initial analysis in planning a more equitable and risk-based PFE distribution in urban areas.
Dian Ajeng PratiwiFebriani Febriani

https://www.ejournal.itn.ac.id/IJCOMIT/article/view/17767

Village waste management currently has two main problems: lack of a digitally integrated waste recording system and low community participation in sorting waste due to lack of incentives. This study aims to design a prototype of the ECO Notes application as a village-based waste recording solution, adapting features and interfaces through a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. Comparison with current methods shows that the Digital Waste Bank focuses more on transaction recording, while the IoT-based Waste Monitoring System, effective for city scale, is less suitable for village limitations. The design methodology includes conducting literature studies and interviews with village officials and local communities to identify functional and non-functional needs, followed by the creation of low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes. Evaluation was conducted using a User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) comprising six rating scales on 12 respondents. The evaluation results showed that the highest scores in the Perspicuity aspect (1.68), indicating ease of understanding of the application, and Novelty (1.25), reflecting the solution's novelty compared to previous methods. Overall, the application received positive responses in all aspects, confirming its advantages in accessibility, sustainability, and community engagement. Thus, ECO Notes is considered worthy for further development and testing on a wider-scale user
Novelia Mega PuspitaDinda Chesar Putri RamadhaniDita Kurnia RachmasariRisqy Siwi Pradini

https://www.ejournal.itn.ac.id/IJCOMIT/article/view/17775

Computer laboratories in universities require a reliable security system because they store high-value equipment. The use of conventional physical keys is considered ineffective due to the risk of loss, duplication, and limited real-time monitoring. This research develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based laboratory door security system using an ESP32 microcontroller, a reed switch sensor as a door status detector, a solenoid door lock as an automatic lock, and a web interface as a control and monitoring medium. The system was designed through stages of literature study, hardware and software design, and prototype implementation. This system is integrated with a room reservation feature, so that door access is only granted to users with valid and active reservations. Verification is carried out automatically through a database and sent to the ESP32 to unlock the door. The test results show that the system is able to function properly, providing automatic access control and displaying the door status in real time. This system is considered effective as a modern laboratory door security solution in higher education environments
Moh. Ali MakhrusNindynar RikatsihAhsanun Naseh Khudori

https://www.ejournal.itn.ac.id/IJCOMIT/article/view/18022

Deep neural networks are highly sensitive to subtle pixel-level variations, a property that is commonly discussed in the context of adversarial learning. Rather than treating this characteristic solely as a vulnerability, this study explores its potential for image data hiding. This paper proposes StegaFlow, an end-to-end deep learning-based framework for image steganography and blind watermarking, in which encoder and decoder networks are jointly optimized to embed binary messages into digital images while preserving visual quality and enabling reliable message recovery. To improve robustness against real-world image degradations, the training process incorporates multiple distortion models, including Gaussian blur, pixel-wise dropout, image cropping, and JPEG compression. Because JPEG compression is inherently non-differentiable, differentiable approximations are introduced during training to enable effective gradient-based optimization. Experimental results evaluate the proposed framework in terms of capacity, secrecy, and robustness, and show that it achieves strong performance under common image distortions. In particular, the framework demonstrates improved robustness to several spatial-domain degradations, while adversarial training contributes to better perceptual quality by reducing visible embedding artifacts. These findings indicate that end-to-end neural optimization provides a flexible and effective approach for robust image data hiding
Muhammad Romadhona KusumaMuhammad Naufal Adnansyah NuryadinRahmat RahmatLeo Ternado

https://www.ejournal.itn.ac.id/IJCOMIT/article/view/17760

While digital adoption is essential for operational efficiency in the culinary sector, many local restaurants still struggle with the inefficiencies of manual ordering and paper menus, which require longer service times and complicate menu updates. Currently, there is a gap in applying structured, user-focused methodologies to effectively bridge these traditional practices with modern digital solutions. To address this gap, this research aims to design a highly usable UI/UX for a web-based QR Code food ordering system tailored specifically for Limestones Restaurant Bali. The study utilizes the User-Centered Design (UCD) method to ensure the system strictly aligns with user needs, progressing through four stages: specifying the context of use, specifying user and organizational requirements, producing design solutions, and evaluating the design against user requirements. The resulting prototype features an interactive digital menu, shopping cart, and two payment options including QRIS and cash. Design evaluation was conducted through user testing with ten respondents using the System Usability Scale (SUS), achieving a score of 71.25. This score places the system in the "Good" category, demonstrating that its usability exceeds standard acceptability thresholds. Ultimately, the main scientific contribution of this study is a UCD-driven design framework and a validated prototype that systematically resolves the physical limitations of manual menus while significantly enhancing the modern customer ordering experience.
Anak Agung Adi Wiryya PutraI Gusti Ayu Agung Istri Dinda Larasshanti JelantikKomang Agus Putra KardiyasaKadek Adyatna WedanantaI Gusti Ngurah Agung Dava Danendra
